What is the aim of this course?

To revise and review knowledge on the presentation and nursing care of common toxicity issues in animals. A variety of toxicities will be covered, including chocolate.

By the end of this workout, you should be able to:

  • Recognise common toxicities and their clinical signs
  • Identify the main toxicity treatments and how to support the patient through these
  • Effectively nurse these animals in practice

Course structure

This workout is designed to be completed within one hour and consists of:

  • A warm-up to switch on your brain by testing your current knowledge
  • A main session of learning to bring you up to date with the topic under discussion
  • A warm-down assessment to test and reinforce what you have learnt
