What is the aim of the programme?

The role of the veterinary receptionist is a challenging and varied one. You are often the client’s first contact with the practice, and are responsible for delivering excellent client care at all stages of their visit. In this programme, we will be covering the essential skills required for you to excel in your role, from care-based skills such as communication and conflict, to service-based skills such as diary management and dispensing.

This programme is divided into 9 courses that cover the following topics:

  4. Diary management
  5. Triage
  6. Dispensing and stock control
  7. Infection control
  8. Handling challenging situations
  9. How to deal with everyday stress
Who is the programme for?

This programme is suitable for veterinary receptionists within small animal practice.

Recommended entry requirements:

In order for you to achieve the best possible outcome for this programme we recommend that you are in a practice-based front of house role.

If you are unsure of whether this course is suitable for you we recommend that you talk to your line manager.
